It is commonly understood that the face is a reflection of human emotion--like a mirror. However, most people don't think about how the face influences how we feel. Nor do most realize the visual vocabulary of the human face has the potential to be studied, catalogued, and learned.
In his recent book, Blink, Malcolm Gladwell explores the vast, and often untapped, communication potential (akin to mind-reading) of the human face.
In addition to discussing common barriers to human understanding, Gladwell poignantly illustrates some catastrophic mind-reading failures.
